AJ Maddeny

AJ Maddeny is a conflict strategist and decision systems expert whose work challenges conventional thinking about power, resolution, and personal agency. With advanced degrees in Conflict Analysis and Decision Science, he brings a structural lens to life’s most disorienting experiences — including divorce, negotiation, and institutional breakdown.

But this work isn’t just professional — it’s personal. AJ grew up in a fractured home and later went through divorce himself. He knows what it feels like when the ground disappears beneath you, when familiar roles vanish, and no one hands you a map.

Divorce: Emergency Protocol was created to fill that gap — a structural survival guide for the moment everything breaks, before lawyers are called and before you've found your footing.

AJ is certified by the Virginia Supreme Court in General District, Juvenile, and Circuit Court mediation and serves as an arbitrator with FINRA. His work has supported individuals and institutions alike — from the U.S. Department of State to everyday people navigating conflict under one roof. He also leads workshops and coaches individuals looking to regain clarity and control.

His approach is grounded, tactical, and focused on restoring agency to people facing high-stakes decisions. Whether you’re still under the same roof or already reeling from a sudden split, AJ’s mission is simple: Put clarity back in your hands before the system takes it away.
